Join us for an immersive introduction to the therapeutic use of sandtray.
This two-day experiential training introduces participants to the foundations of clinical sandtray practice within a safe, reflective, and relationship-centred learning environment. Held at Sage Cottage, participants will experience the restorative qualities of a rural setting while developing practical skills they can begin integrating into their clinical work.
The weekend between training days offers intentional space for reflection, personal integration, and continued learning before returning for the second day.

The history and development of sandtray therapy
The neurobiology of play, symbolism, and healing
Creating and maintaining a safe therapeutic space
Principles of non-directive and directive sandtray work
Selecting miniatures and developing a meaningful collection
The role of the therapist during sandtray sessions
Clinical applications across the lifespan
Ethical considerations and scope of practice
Integrating sandtray into existing therapeutic approaches
Live demonstrations and experiential practice
