Child & Family Therapy

Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families

Childhood and adolescence come with unique challenges; every family has moments where extra support can make a difference. Our team offers therapy for children, youth, and families in a warm, inclusive environment where emotional health, connection, and communication can grow.

We provide youth counselling for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, behaviour issues, school stress, friendship struggles, and family conflict. Our therapists work with children and teens of all ages, and we tailor each approach to your child’s developmental stage, needs, and personality.

We offer both in-person and online sessions to make it easy for you to get the support you need in the way that works best for you.

Understanding the Needs of Young People

Growing up isn’t always easy.

Whether your child is showing big emotions, frustration, withdrawal, or changes in behaviour, we’re here to help. Our team uses developmentally appropriate methods, including play therapy, to help children express themselves, feel safe, and build trust in the therapeutic relationship.

The teenage years can be overwhelming.

There is constant pressure, ongoing change, and uncertainty, often all at once. Youth counselling gives teens a safe space to slow down, explore their feelings, and build practical tools to manage life’s challenges. With the right support, they can feel more understood, capable, and less alone. Counselling can help teenagers strengthen relationships at home, school, and with the people who matter most

 It’s not always a phase.

If you're wondering whether ADHD could be part of what your child or teen is experiencing, we offer clinical assessments to help you better understand their needs.

 Accessing Therapy as a Teen

If you're under the age of 16, we will need permission from your parent or guardian before we can begin therapy. If you're 16 or older, you can access counselling without parental consent. In either case, your privacy is important to us, and we will clearly explain how the process works before your first session.

Social Skills and Friendship Groups

Families go through many kinds of changes and challenges, including conflict, communication breakdowns, separation, or simply growing in different directions. We recognize that life is busy and that coordinating care for multiple family members can be stressful. That’s why we offer collaborative services that allow your family to access the support you need in one place. Our therapists provide family therapy and parenting support to help households build stability, connection, and understanding.

Counselling That Supports the Whole Family, All at Once

Building confidence and social connection outside of one-on-one counselling is just as important. Our social skills groups are for children and teenagers between 6 - 18 years old, and are led by a behaviour consultant with expertise in autism and child/adolescent development.

These weekly groups are held during the school year, and provide teens a space to strengthen  communication skills, learn about emotional regulation, and develop peer relationships in a supportive group setting.
