Fall and Winter Groups

Facilitator: Cheryl Scaife. Cheryl has many years experience using social thinking to
support social thinking skills and self regulation in children and teens.

 

Teen Group (Ages 14-17) Tuesdays  7:00-8:30pm.

Activities support improved self esteem, self regulation and communication skills. Activities include:

  • Board and card games
  • Movies and popcorn
  • Smoothie nights
  • Gelato or hot chocolate outings
  • Let’s talk about it – group conversation 
 

Girls Friendship Group (Ages 8-10) Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm.

Activities support improved self esteem, self regulation and communication skills. Activities include crafts, board games and team building exercises. All sessions are held in the group room at 1815 Kirschner.

Girls Friendship Group (Ages 10-12) Saturdays at 1:00pm-2:15.

 Activities support improved self esteem, self regulation and communication skills. Activities are held both in the group room at 1815 Kirschner as well as in the community.  

Boys Friendship Group (Ages 9-12) Thursdays 6:00-7:15
Activities are held both in our group room. Activities include board games, building activities, lego, and movement

Boys Independent Skills Group (Ages 5-7) Wednesday mornings at 11:00-12:00. August 4th-25th.
This group focuses on building independence by practicing work and social skills in a group setting. Activities include worksheets, play/ building, learning activities, movement and board games. Four weeks during August to help prepare children for school in
September. 

Boys Friendship Group for Teens (Ages 13+) Saturdays 2:30pm
Outdoor and community activities for teen boys. Group participants collaborate to choose their own fun activities
